4TimerOnline (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a free, browser-based timer, stopwatch and alarm. There is no account system and no server-side database — but this site does run Google AdSense advertising, which uses cookies. This policy explains exactly what that means, in plain language, and how it lines up with the GDPR (EU), CCPA (California) and LGPD (Brazil).
In short: we never ask you to sign up, and the timers, labels and laps you enter stay on your device — we never receive them. The one exception to “no tracking” is advertising: like most free sites, we use Google AdSense to cover costs, and AdSense sets its own cookies.
This policy applies to 4TimerOnline.com, one of a small family of independent tools published under 4Utilities:
1. Data We Collect
- We do not require sign-up, login or any account.
- We do not ask for your name, email or phone number in the tool itself.
- We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts, and we keep no server-side database of activity.
- If you email us through the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to include — sent directly and voluntarily by you.
- Our advertising and font providers may automatically receive limited technical data such as your IP address (see sections 3 and 4).
2. How the Timer Works
- The countdown, stopwatch and alarm all run in your browser with JavaScript. The durations, labels and lap times you enter are held in memory on your device only.
- We do not store your timers — not on a server and not in your browser’s storage. When you close or reload the tab, they are gone.
- The alarm sound is generated locally in your browser; there is no audio file or request involved.
- If you grant notification permission, desktop notifications are created locally by your browser when a timer ends. We never see them.
3. Cookies & Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which is how this free tool pays for itself. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to do that. Specifically:
- Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- This enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Where required by law (EU/EEA, UK, Brazil), Google’s consent mechanism asks permission before using cookies for personalized ads, and you can change or withdraw consent at any time.

4. Third-Party Services
- Google AdSense — advertising, as above. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces load from Google’s font servers, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect any in the first place.
5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data and to withdraw consent. Because we keep no accounts or database, most requests relate to Google’s advertising cookies, which you control through the links in section 3 and your browser settings. 6. Children’s Privacy
4TimerOnline is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
